Global Learning Exchange (GLX) has formed a strategic partnership with Virtual Internships, a leading platform connecting students worldwide with internship opportunities in their chosen fields. Virtual Internships boasts a vast network of 13,000+ host companies in 80+ countries across various industries, ensuring internship placements for students, regardless of their location or background. They also offer support through career coaching, regular check-ins, and employer training to enhance the internship experience.

This collaboration aligns with both organisations' mission to democratise access to experiential learning. GLX students enrolling in an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s programme through any GLX partner will be eligible. The CEO of Sonic Foundry, the parent company of GLX, emphasised the transformative impact of internships on students' transition to professional careers.

Global Learning Exchange™ (GLX), dedicated to providing affordable and locally supported online education, has teamed up with the Read and Earn Federation for UNESCO (UNESCO REF) to initiate an education and skills development program in Nigeria.  

Sonic Foundry CEO Joe Mozden, Jr. expressed excitement about the partnership with Prince Abdulsalami and UNESCO REF, aiming to offer accessible education opportunities in Nigeria and West Africa. The collaboration, operating under The August Project (TAP), a UNESCO REF initiative, seeks to establish GLX Hub facilities in Nigeria, providing students with conducive study environments, technology access, and academic and career development resources. The initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Nigeria.  

GLX, having launched in the Bahamas in July, is actively pursuing partnerships globally, discussing collaborations with potential university partners in the US, UK, Australia, and local partners in Africa, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia.

Global Learning Exchange™ (GLX) has solidified partnerships with Hilbert College, the University of North Alabama (UNA), and SkillUp Online, enhancing learning opportunities for GLX students. The completion of these partnerships before the fall semester will allow Global Learning Exchange™ students to enrol in a variety of programs from each of the three providers’ offerings. 

Hilbert College will offer traditional degree-track programs in Business Management, Criminal Justice, and Cyber Security. UNA promotes International Minor programs in innovative fields like Marketing, Sociology, Management, and Human Resources. SkillUp Online contributes non-degree skills development programs in data science and cyber security, endorsed by industry leaders such as IBM and Microsoft. These partnerships align with GLX's goal of expanding online education options globally. Sonic Foundry CEO Joe Mozden, Jr. emphasizes the importance of providing a broader range of options in online education. GLX continues its global expansion, with potential partners in Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia.

Global Learning Exchange™ (GLX)  has partnered with Hilbert College to offer students access to Hilbert's online degree programs through Hilbert College Global. GLX, designed to provide motivated students globally with transformative education opportunities, connects them to top-tier higher education programs in a flexible, cost-effective, and locally supported environment.  

Hilbert College is a dynamic Western New York college that offers career-focused majors, including one of the top criminal justice programs in the region. The partnership allows GLX to provide diverse program options from participating universities and colleges, including Hilbert, as well as industry-backed, non-degree skills development programs. GLX Hubs, providing support services like admissions assistance, tutoring, and career development, will be established in participating regions. The partnership aligns with GLX's commitment to offering academic content and a vital in-person support community for an enriched learning experience.

Partnership with the Bahamas Institute of Business and Technology (BIBT) will provide local students with admissions and academic support resources.
