The Global Learning Exchange™ Hub in Benin City has partnered with the University of Benin (UNIBEN) and Read and Earn Federation to help you choose the right university and degree programme. We also provide the support and resources you need to achieve your educational goals.
UNIBEN was first established as Midwest Institute of Technology and in 1971 attained the status of a full-fledged university in line with requirements of the National Universities Commission and became The University of Benin.
The University commenced academic activities with 109 students at the site of the Old Teachers’ Training College on Ekehuan Road (now one of the campuses of the University – Ekehuan Campus). Currently, UNIBEN has an estimated 60,000 students spread across the two campuses of the University and has 15 faculty, 1 college and 3 institutes.

Over the past several years, an average of 2 million Nigerian students have applied to enrol in higher education programmes annually – but 75% have been denied admission simply because there aren’t enough enrolment openings.
That’s why Global Learning Exchange has partnered with UNESCO REF and The August Project to bring affordable education opportunities to Nigerians.
