Sonic Foundry is initiating the Global Learning Exchange™ (GLX), a groundbreaking solution to provide worldwide students with flexible, cost-effective access to higher education. Through partnerships with top US Universities and skill-based certification partners, Global Learning Exchange offers students a unique proposition: flexible online learning coupled with local, in-person support resources. Construction of the first GLX Hub in the Bahamas began this month, offering an unprecedented level of support, blending online classes with locally supported resources. The facility, slated for completion in July 2022, will also serve as a Hub for social and collaborative learning. Sonic Foundry partnered with the Bahamas Institute of Business and Technology (BIBT) to enroll students this summer. Additionally, the company is securing agreements with universities globally, focusing on partner-led Hub development projects in emerging markets. CEO Joe Mozden, Jr., highlighted GLX's mission to democratize education and offer world-class, affordable opportunities globally.
